Buy Michigan Now Festival

The Buy Michigan Now Fest is this weekend in Northville, MI on Main St. and Center St. We’ll have our tent set up, and we’ll be ready to answer visitors’ home improvement questions about replacement windows, doors, insulation, siding, gutters, roofing—you name it. The schedule is:

  • Fri., Aug. 5: 10:00am – 9:00pm
  • Sat., Aug. 6: 10:00am – 9:00pm
  • Sun., Aug. 7: Noon – 5:00pm

It’s free admission, and there’s a lot of free parking nearby too. Not only can you see us there, with our outdoor exhibit, but it’s also “great place to discover new tastes and products coming out of Michigan. “Check out the organizer’s video for more information.

WeatherGard is Lead Safe Certified

WeatherGard  was one of the first home improvement companies in Southeastern Michigan to become Lead Safe Certified.

WeatherGard Lead Certification

Beginning April 22, 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices.

At WeatherGard, we have over 25 Lead Renovators on staff and we are taking the utmost precautions to ensure that your family is safeguarded during your windows, doors,  siding, roofing, insulation, or other home renovation project. ATTIC INSULATION: Blew in cellulose insulation to entire attic while roof installation was going on.  Insulation installers removed a piece of the roof deck and went into the attic without entering the home.
