WeatherGard is Lead Safe Certified

June 27th, 2010

Posted under About WeatherGard, Current News, Featured

WeatherGard  was one of the first home improvement companies in Southeastern Michigan to become Lead Safe Certified.

WeatherGard Lead Certification

Beginning April 22, 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices.

At WeatherGard, we have over 25 Lead Renovators on staff and we are taking the utmost precautions to ensure that your family is safeguarded during your windows, doors,  siding, roofing, insulation, or other home renovation project. This is just one more example of WeatherGard doing what it does best, protecting your home!
