NFRC Thermal Performance Standards

All of WeatherGard's replacement windows are manufactured to meet or exceed thermal standards for maximum energy efficiency set by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NRFC).

In order to meet the NFRC guidelines, products must meet predetermined criteria for:

• U-factor
• Solar heat gain
• Visible transmittance
• Air leakage

By achieving superior marks in all of the above criteria, WeatherGard's replacement windows make it possible to have lower heat loss, less air leakage, and warmer window surfaces that improve comfort and minimize condensation in your home. And now, thanks to the new Stimulus Bill - known as The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009, homeowners can receive a tax credit of 30% of their window purchase (up to $1,500) for buying WeatherGard's energy efficient replacement windows.

ENERGY STAR® Rating

All WeatherGard replacement windows qualify as ENERGY STAR windows in all climate zones for all 50 states pursuant to the strict guidelines set by the EPA and the US Department of Energy

AAMA Structural Standards

WeatherGard's replacement windows meet or exceed strict structural performance standards as established by American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). Our windows were independently tested pursuant to AAMA standards for the following:

• Resistance to air infiltration
• Wind load pressure
• Forced entry
• Water leakage
• Heat resistance (in excess of 300 degrees)
• Weatherability (performance in various climates)
